Stress and Free Radicals are tied as the #1 silent killers in North America. They can cause everything from accelerated aging, to heart attacks, to a dysfunctional immune system. Test your stress levels and antioxidant status and discover simple ways to optimize them!- Bryce Wylde, HD

ANTIOXIDANTS - MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU THOUGHT!

Free radicals have been demonstrated to be the root of all diseases, including heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer's, cataracts and a host of other conditions.

People who live to be 100 or older have higher levels of antioxidants in their bodies than less long-lived individuals.

Processed foods and poor diets increase free radical damage in the body and even an excellent diet cannot satisfy your real antioxidant needs.

Today fast-paced, high-stress lifestyles increase free radicals.

Toxins in your environment push your free radical load to the limit.

THE IMPORTANCE OF TESTING

How do you know if your body has metabolized enough antioxidants to combat the free radicals that attack your system everyday? Antioxidant supplementation is a balancing act. Every person has a unique optimal amount of antioxidant levels they should take. The level of free radicals in your body is determined by your genetics, lifestyles, diets, stress, physical activity levels and body chemistry. Now there is a test which can give you direct insight into the effects of all the above. The level of antioxidants in your body is determined primarily by your diet and supplement routine. As our lives and diets change throughout the years, regular self-testing is critical in ensuring appropriate antioxidant levels.

Test yourself at home now to reveal your own antioxidant and free radical status and determine free radical damage occurring in your body.

Use the antioxidants in food and supplements from your local health food store to defend against free radicals and the oxidative stress they cause.

WHAT THESE TESTS MEASURE

1. Specific Gravity: this test will qualify your urine in order that you are able to run all subsequent testing.

2. pH: indicates the acid/alkaline balance in the body and tells the health of an individual.

3. Vitamin C test: detects levels of one of the most important antioxidants in your body - Vitamin C.

4. Antioxidant Test: provides insight to your free radical load and the necessity to take more, or less, antioxidants, vitamins, or minerals.

5. Adrenal Stress Test: provides insight to how your adrenal glands are performing and how much stress they are under.

Scientists now believe that free radicals are the causal factors in nearly every known disease, from heart disease to arthritis to cancer and cataracts. In fact, free radicals are a major culprit in the aging process itself. - Dr. Lester Packer The Antioxidant Miracle

The following lifestyle factors further increase free radical levels:
  • Emotional Stress
  • Physical Trauma
  • Pollution
  • Alcohol
  • Cigarette Smoke
  • Deep Fried Foods

All of the above factors, and many others, contribute to disease by generating high levels of oxidants. Over time the onslaught of oxidation can cause damage and destruction of the cells in our bodies. This increases the natural effects of aging and the development of degenerative diseases.

The medical industry is too focused on disease treatment instead of disease prevention. Patients expect the medical industry to treat medical problems that their own laziness, inadequate diet, lack of exercise, and poor nutrition created.

How can you achieve an adequate level of antioxidant protection?

While you can't always eat right, exercise regularly, or avoid all the toxins in your environment, you can however learn your own body's free radical levels. You can make an accurate assessment by studying your diet and customizing an antioxidant plan. Home monitoring with an antioxidant urine test is the key.

Once free radical levels are determined, you're in a position to make a positive contribution to the cellular war against free radical damage. You can help your body by appropriately combining the right anti-oxidants it needs. This may include phytonutrients, trace minerals, enzymes, vitamins and more. You can then monitor your levels by retesting your urine at home to determine the effectiveness of your individual supplement routine. Free radical damage, my friends, is avoidable damage. Detect, then protect.

The damage done by free radicals in our human bodies is similar to the oxidation of the metals on our cars. To slow down the process we apply rust paint. This is what antioxidants do for our body. An antioxidant molecule neutralizes free radicals by donating an electron while maintaining its own stability. Sufficient antioxidant protection will help prevent or stop the chain reaction of this damage that ultimately leads to nearly all disease. Prevention can avoid sickness and the high costs of treatment and medication. The irony of most drugs is that they almost always increase the free radical load to the body, often leading to more problems.

Once again, countless studies have shown that antioxidants such as Vitamin D, Beta Carotene, vitamin E, and vitamin C, play an important role in decreasing signs of premature aging. They decrease the risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke, degenerative conditions, and virtually all other diseases.

Today, North America eats too much processed food and not enough fresh fruit and vegetables and this trend has lead to an increase in disease through free radical accumulation. The Ministry of Health advises us that our diet should include about five servings of fruits and vegetables every day. Only a small percentage of our society (those that really try) ever actually ingest that much vitamin rich food.

Even if we could meet our daily demands for fruits and vegetables, these fresh foods probably only have a fraction of the antioxidants they once contained because of improper farming, chemical fertilizers, and the gradual demineralization of the soil. (check out the book: Empty Harvest by Bernard Jensen)

Everyone metabolizes antioxidants differently and so it might be ineffective to simply increase the intake of fruits and veggies, or vitamin pills without some insight into what your body needs.

I am recommending that you test your antioxidant status.

After years of testing at our clinic, I have developed a new test kit to empower self- monitoring, at home, for the following:

Antioxidant levels (the reason you take things like vitamin D)
Stress status (adrenal health)
Vitamin C levels (to protect against colds/flu)
Your hydration levels

To determine your antioxidant levels, or the health of a loved one, family member or friend, consider ordering a personal at home urine test kit.

This is a non-invasive and easy-to-use test to run in the comfort of your own home. And it is more accurate than a blood test for these particular factors.
